Hukou Township, Hsinchu County, Social residence groundbreaking ceremony
The National Centre for Housing and Urban Renewal today (20 October) held a groundbreaking ceremony for the "Xinhu Good Room" social residence in Hukou Township, Hsinchu County. This case is the first case of the central government's construction of social residence in Hsinchu County, providing 132 social housing units, which is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 116, and the total project cost of the whole project is about 768.49 million yuan, all funded by the central government.
Hua Jingqun, vice minister of the Ministry of the Interior, said that the central government has directly built more than 90,000 social housing units across the country, and more than 60,000 households have valid contracts for leasing and escrow social housing. Hua Jingqun said that the National Center for Housing is actively looking for land for social housing in Hukou, and at present, about 2 billion yuan of funds for the two social housing buildings are all paid by the central government, hoping to support Hukou's population growth and local development needs.
Hua Jingqun pointed out that the operation of social housing is rich and diverse, in addition to providing residence, there will also be community activities and public art practiced here, conveying more progressive residential concepts and values; Therefore, having a social house next to the school can also help the education of children and develop first-class citizens. He also explained that the rent of social housing is discounted by the rent of nearby second-hand houses, which is to use the most affordable rent to give the people the best quality environment.
Huang Jingmao, CEO of the National Residential Center, said that the "Xinhu Good Room" is the first social housing in Hsinchu County to be groundbroken by the National Housing Center, and there are three more to follow, and he expects the county government to assist in the urban design review and the issuance of construction licenses as soon as possible. He also said that Xinhu Haoshu provides a childcare center and parking lot, which is shared with nearby villagers, and uses energy-efficient electrical appliances and equipment, which will save water and electricity in the future, so that residents can feel it after moving in.
Hsinchu County Mayor Yang Wenke thanked the central government for building social housing in Hsinchu County. Yang Wenke said that next to the Xinhu good room is the largest Xinhu primary school, and it is also very close to the Hukou railway station and market, and the location is very good. Yang Wenke emphasized that in the future, the AI Science and Technology Park and TSMC's R&D center will be located in Hsinchu County to attract more and more talents to move there, and he believes that social housing can be used as the backing for the economic development of Hsinchu County, and will cooperate with the central government to promote it in the future.
According to the National Housing Center, the "Xinhu Good Room" social housing base is close to Xinhu Primary School, Aishi Village Activity Center, Hukou Township Kindergarten, and a 5-minute drive to the Hsinchu Campus of the University of Science and Technology of China. It is a 10-minute walk to Hukou Station, which is located in the center of the Hukou area, with perfect transportation, culture, education, shopping and other functions.
The building scale of "Xinhu Good Room" is an 11-storey building above ground and 2 floors underground, providing 132 social housing units. The planning coverage rate of the whole project is only 39.92%, a large amount of open space is retained, and a childcare center and shops are added on the first floor to meet the needs of local residents, while also improving life functions and sharing good with neighbors.
The National Centre for Housing and Metropolitan Affairs has promoted two social housing projects in Hsinchu County, the "Xinhu Good Room" in Hukou Township and the "Donglin Good Room" in Zhudong Township, both of which have won bids, providing a total of 220 social housing units, and the number of social housing units awarded nationwide has reached 46,422.
The groundbreaking ceremony of the "Xinhu Good Room" was attended by Hua Jingqun, Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of the Interior and Acting Chairman of the National Housing Center, Huang Jingmao, Chief Executive Officer, Yang Wenke, Mayor of Hsinchu County, and guests from all walks of life to pray for the smooth progress of the project.
